79% reduction in hospital admissions for Medicare patients, and a 72%
decrease for those with commercial insurance between the ages of
35-64. Additionally, members of a concierge practice were readmitted
97%, 95%, and 91% less frequently for acute myocardial infarction,
congestive heart failure, and pneumonia, respectively. This resulted
in a one-year savings in excess of $300 million.

In my opinion, this type of approach could fix the healthcare
system. We should be focused on healthcare, not sick care, and being
proactive rather than having a reactive approach. As the old saying
goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
